How are we managing the Covid-19 Challenge? Updated Jan 2022

We are still supporting families in our community to manage their emotional, social and mental health challenges in this period.

At the moment we are asking where possible that families use Telehealth sessions rather than attend the clinic for face to face appointments. However we ARE still offering face to face appointments to families when/where they believe Telehealth sessions are not viable for their child/teen.

All families need wear masks, be free of Covid/cold symptoms and not be subject to any quarantine requirements. Finally, we are also asking families to have only one parent/caregiver and no siblings attend the clinic wherever possible, and use our outdoor waiting area (check in with reception first) when they can.

A special request: we know from previous experience that when families - or our clinicians - are in quarantine and therefore cannot attend the clinic, families often cancel or reschedule their appointments rather than elect to have a telehealth appointment. However could we please ask that you consider supporting our clinic and our clinicians during this challenging time by *NOT* cancelling your appointment when yourself/your child OR you clinician is in quarantine (provided you are well enough) but instead be prepared keep your appointment as a TH session (this may be a parent/caregiver only session depending on circumstances).

We know that some children do not always engage as well with TH sessions, however we believe (and this is supported by the evidence) that for most families it *can* still be effective for them when face to face is not possible.

Unfortunately, we are experiencing significant numbers of cancellations at present which is having an impact on our ability to serve our community - as well as on individual clinicians and the functioning of the clinic as a whole.  If you are not able to have a telehealth session, we completely understand - however we wanted to take the time to let you know that your consideration of telehealth sessions as an option is important for ourselves - as well as potentially for your child/teen.

If you are having a telehealth appointment and have not had one below click below for important information about these work.
